Just joined up,

I'm researching and looking for a Toyota as a second vehicle to our family hauling Forester, My first vehicle was an 86 xtra cab;



Ever since I sold it in 2003 I've known I would be back in a toyota 4x4 one day.
Now that we are building a family and needing two vehicles I'm looking around.
I am also looking at doublecab Tacomas, but a 4Runner is not too far from what we need either.
I'll have to look around and see what I like more..

Look at that, almost 10 years ago..

Well, since 2011 we found a 2005 Tacoma DCLB,



We loved the truck, enjoyed it for awhile, had the frame replaced, and planned to keep it forever until the 1GR headgasket went and it needed more than it was worth to fix up.

So we replaced it with a 2017 Tacoma.



Tacoma has been great (again!) so why am I posting on the T4R forum?
Well my wife's 2008 Forester is starting to age, am I'm planning for the replacement.

Looking for a 4th or 5th gen, based on the room, capability, and familiarity with Toyotas. Having friends like Rickashay doesn't hurt either..

I just upgraded my 07 FJ Cruiser to a /21 T4R TRD Off Road, a little over 1000 k’s on it and I am as happy as a kid in a candy store.. mileage is much better than the FJ and one of the biggest reasons for the upgrade was comfort... the Runner hasn’t disappointed.. front seats are comfy with lots of adjustment and unlike the FJ it has a back seat with some decent room and better cargo space to boot..

I considered a pickup but comfort and ride didn’t compare.
