Hello everyone. It looks like I found the right place for information. I recently purchaced a 1990 SR5 with 150K miles. Hopfully it gives me another 50K miles without any major problems. I bought it from the original owner with almost all of their service records so it should be good to go. I'll try to attach a photo.

Thanks everyone. Yeh, the truck is very clean for a MN/CO truck. It has a little bit of isolated rust hear and there but a little TLC and it will be as good as new. I just checked my first tank of gas and I got about 17mpg on the highway (that’s with all four tires about 15 to 20psi low), so I hope I can squeeze a few more mpg out of her. I found a front bumper valence on ebay for about $40, or I could just go for a push bumper or brush guard up front to clean it up. The next thing I want is to upgrade the rear suspension. I've been searching for the best fix for that sag in back. It looks like a 1" lift in the rear is what is needed. Is there a source for instructions on how to do this? I have done a few searches but I'm new to this forum so I'm still a little slow.

Thanks

Nice Runner, I must say the 2nd Generation kicks ass. Anyway I'm new to this forum myself. I've been looking into push bumpers/guards myself. Smittybilt looks like a good brand, but I'm just browsing for now. Did you ask the Toyota company about a new valance (40 bucks seems kinda expensive for a plastic valence). Oh well.. See Ya Around!

On older 4Runners and pickups the bottom valance was made of very thin metal.

I had my 90 4X4 pickup for a few months and after the break in we went for a off road trek and dented mine so I went to Toyota to get a price for replacement they told me they all were the same color and it was something like $60 for the same thin crap so I said forget it.

I took mine off and replaced the tow hooks with chrome ones and it looked pretty cool.
