Hi all! JP5 from the Twin Cities here. I just picked up my brand new 2012 4Runner LE on Saturday and it is exceeding my expectations! I love it! This is my first Toyota, I'm coming from a Mazdaspeed3 which was a blast but a bit too small for the family. I've had enough snowy days to know that I will appreciate the full time 4x4.

I almost went with a new Ford Explorer Sport with the turbocharged 3.5L V6 (365 hp!!!) but the dependability and ruggedness of the 4Runner won me over. I know that I will have this truck for a long time!

I hope to meet lots of you over the coming years at meets and rides!

It's going to be hard for me to resist the modding bug. I didn't go overboard with my old Speed3, just exhaust, intake, tint, and some other little goodies, but this truck makes me want to go all out... First order of business I think is sell the included 20" tires and wheels and get some 17" or 18" M/Ts. (Suggestions welcome) Weather Tech floor mats, Bug Catcher (AutoVentShade model), tint, and remote start are the first orders of business.

Hey man welcome! I'm new to Minneapolis, my wife works for target and she recently got a job with headquarters here. If you ever want to check out some trails get in touch. My 4runner is my daily driver so I'm not looking for some crazy rock crawling trails, just like to play in the mud every now and then. I was trying to get something going to check out spider lake, but the twin cities 4 runner sub forum here is deader than a door knob!!
