Got a 91 in really good shape. Read about them before hand, have an average 8.5 satisfaction rating over the years. Main complaint is the poor accleration on the 3.0 auto, and the hatch is fold down, not one piece lift up.
I like the hatch, I do hate the lack of speed to get on freeway.
Car has miles, but runs solid. Previous owner just did timing belt, water pump, radiator, etc. new suspension, trans flush, so it was dealer maintained. I am hoping while doing the timing they took a look to see if anything else needed attention.
should have done oil pump while apart hopefully.
Anyways, first thought is adding the air intake with a better filter.
Thats about the extent I can see, maybe a chip for it? Dont know what that would do for an automatic.
Other question is, if in the future I decide to tear down and rebuild, do the cam upgrades and larger valves require a computer mod? Or can the air meter and all that readjust to more lift and duration and air flow.
