New to me 1997 SR5 5spd - Waahoo

Hey everybody,

Wanted to take a minute to introduce myself. I am a long time Toyota guys, like way back lol. I learned to drive on my dads 87 pickup with a 22re and a 4 speed trans. I have since owned all variations of Toyotas including my first car that I purchased, a 91 mr2 and several more after that. Then had a Supra for a while, before getting into 4wd vehicles. I have owned a few Jeeps, but decided that I really wanted to get back into the Toyotas, so I found my newest ride. This 4runner will be a spare/extra vehicle and more for wrenching on and taking the 100lb lab and kids out in. On to the details.

1997 SR5, with a manual trans. 203k on the clock and the interior was dreadful to say the least! She had a huge exhaust leak and the tires had cords showing. But I had to save her! So for 2k I picked up this truck and started fixing things. Exhaust is taken care of now and the tires are replaced. I have been going over the motor getting things freshened up and tracking down a idle issue. Either way Im having a blast and thought I would share a few pics.

How long did it take you to strip your interior like that? And how long to put it back together?

Stripping the interior took about an hour and a half, mainly because I was being careful with the clips and trying not to damage any of the trim panels. Putting it back together was about the same. As it turns out the whole process was done over a couple days time while I cleaned off the parts etc before putting them back in.
