No audio on youtube videos

Is it possible to be able to hear Bluetooth audio through your speakers when the 4runner is in drive? My wife was trying to play a song off youtube for our kids the other night and the audio wouldn't play through the speakers. We got home and I put it in park, I told her to try it again and the audio played. Dropped it in drive and the audio stopped.

Shouldn’t be an issue. Both my son and daughter do it while we’re driving if they want me to listen to something.

Its likely. Many phones have automatic driving apps that run in the background. Like Android Auto.

Your phone’s volume control may be in play. Try turning up the volume using the device buttons. They do affect the sound on my vehicle in addition to the usual volume knob.

What phone do you have? Driving mode enabled?

All the necessary volumes are turned up because it has sound when put into park. My phone is a Motorola Z2 Play. I'll look for "driving mode". Haven't heard of that before. Want to say, other things have sound through my speakers, like phone calls. I haven't tried Pandora yet.

i have no problems playing youtube and hearing audio while driving, as long as the phones screen doesnt time out.

I’ll second this. In my vw if I play anything on twitter or anything app other than Apple Music I have to turn the volume up.

I was talking about the phone’s volume. I’m sure you’ve probably run the radio volume up to 11. :guitar3:

Yes, the phone is through Bluetooth and the volume on it is fine. I'll try Pandora today and see if it works.

Don't ask me how, but the speakers play youtube audio now. We tried it again, without changing anything, and it worked when it was in drive.
