Noobie: this front bumper fixable?

Hey, This is my first post. been trying to find a good forum to start working on my 4runner. I want to get a couple dings out of it before anything else. The previous owner had a bit of an accident before he handed it over to me. Hit a post or something.

you cant really tell from the pic but the chrome bumper is hit in that spot i pointed out and its offset about 2 inches from the rest of the bumper and offset the lights. Can someone give me a quick 411 about how to approach this? I have mechanical background but i like to know what im getting into.

Yeah its fixable. Just take it off and find some way to apply alot of pressure to the backside of the dent. Make sure you put something like a small piece of 2x4 on it when you push on it. Don't hit it. Rig you up some kind of lever with the fulcrum on top of the the lever so you can pull up while putting downward force on the bumper.

Those bumpers are like $40 to replace... Just an FYI
