Oil Pan Gasket Replacement on 2WD?

Got a 96 2.7L 2WD. Anyone know how difficult the oil pan gasket is to replace on a 2WD version? It sounds like it's a beast on the 4WD versions, what with having to drop the differential or lift the engine. Do you still have to lift the engine on the 2WD version?

Had coolant drained and re-filled yesterday and mechanic noted the leak. Planning to degrease the area today and check the snugness of the bolts around the pan, but, just in case I have to go through with it, I'm trying to figure out whether or not it's worth tackling on my own. Thanks in advance for any help.

Not a hard project, remove the skid plates, remove the tranny cover to expose the back bolts. drain oil, remove the bolts and drop pan. clean the surfaces good and use fipg sealant(The Right Stuff) These have no real gasket, toyota uses fipg sealant. reassemble and change oil. drive and check for leaks.
