Background: Recently purchased a 97 4runner with 195k miles.
Last weekend I installed a hayden transmission cooler. Mounted the cooler, and took off the bottom lines form the radiator and hooked em up.
Then I opened up the transmission fluid plug and drained about 5L of transmission oil. Replaced the same amount.
All of the sudden, my oil pressure light is on and I'm getting a loud ticking noise (not the normal tick, this is much louder and increases with accelleration)
Any idea what this could be? All of the threads I've read on this say the tickings related to low engine oil pressure. But i think it's strange that this happened righttttt after i put in the transmission cooler.
Is there anything in the transmission system that might trigger the low oil pressure light?
