Other Good Resources

So I'm the new guy here. Also a new T4R owner. It's a 2000 Limited. (actually this is my first ever Toyota product) First thing I did was going this forum and I've already learned tons as well as even knocked out a couple simple mods and have even already posted my first DIY repair!

So the purpose of this post is it ask if there are any other sites, resources, forums, etc that you guys suggest I add to my book marks. I am a big time DIY guy and I can't wait to start "personalizing" my 4Runner.

Hi and welcome!

It'll be helpful if you would tell us what year your truck is, that way it could be easier to connect with the right group. Lots of smart, helpful folks here.
 
Not 3rd gen specific, but I spend time at IH8MUD and ExpeditionPortal to get ideas about 4x4/off-roading/camping/overland etc. A lot of folks like yotatech, but I've just never been comfortable with their layout. There are a lot of good ideas out there that you might find interesting to you and your likes or hobbies.

lots of other toyota specific builds and DIYs out there on those boards. Sometimes, if your lucky, other build ideas from some other model toyotas will be applicable/easily adaptable to your 3rd gen.
 
Moved to 3rd gen section, where you will finds tons of threads and info to dress up and fix up your truck if you look.

Seriously I find everything I want to know by googling then adding "3rd gen 4Runner."

IH8MUD is great for Toyota info and I think they do have a 4Runner section.
TacomaWorld seeing the 96-04 trucks share some same parts
