Paddleboards on the gen 4s

I'm just going to use factory rails and some straps when I finish my paddleboard build. Wood hollow board with foam sides from scratch.

I would do that as well if I am just hauling the board. Just curious what type of racks people are using if they also have a cargo box on top.
Maybe the kayak racks work with a SUP? Or maybe there is something similar but better?

I have the Yakima round bars mounted on top of the factory roof rack. The bars extend maybe 6-8" each side beyond the factory rails. The Thule roof box goes on the passenger side, and either SUP, kayak, skis or bike goes on the other. The cheap SUP goes straight on the bars while the nice one gets a foam padding, and both are just strapped down with a couple of tie-down straps.

I was just looking at that one, along with the supdawg.
It says it mounts to most factory crossbars. I'm wondering if it would be better to get aftermarket longer bars so I can offset the board more, and allow a narrow top box alongside it...
Anyone?
