Paging Savannah peeps and Charleston peeps

We're on an extended vaca/road trip in my trusty 4R.

Seeking cool stuff to do/see/stay - no offroading - no kids :banana: ... starting in Savannah around 2/26 .... couple days each, flexible.

Savanah: definitely spend some time on the River walk, just a pretty cool strip of old stores and bars/restaurants. The historic trolley tour is pretty good (think key west). I’ve also heard that the ghost tours are pretty good if you’re into that kind of thing (The Marshall House Hotel is supposed to be up there on the real life haunted scale). Also you need to go to Leopolds for ice cream.

Charleston: Fort Sumter is nice to get out to (you need to take a ferry). They also have the historic trolley tours to get a lay of the land.

Both cities are fairly walkable and have great food and drinks.

In Charleston, Mount Pleasant in particular, Patriots Pointe has helicopter tours of Charleston Harbor for really reasonable rates. No appointment needed. Patriots Pointe has quite a few cool things in general - worth a look.
