Painted Hood, question...

So, just like most of use my hood is fading exponentially. The rest of my truck paint is in good condition (minus all my self imposed desert pin striping )

Anyways, so the question I have; has anyone painted their hood? Im considering doing it flat black. Similar to the old muscle car look, but my truck is black so I wondering if it will clash or just look plain bad.

Thoughts? Photos?

We get these for our fjs. He makes them for Tacoma and 4runner

It looks bad enough on a lighty colored 4runner, let alone black. It will look like the hood's faded or primered if you go flat black.

Just go to a MAACO or something. I spent $400 for the roof and its hardly noticeable. Course I don't really care that much about paint perfection. As long as it looks OK from 5ft
