Hey guys, what companies have you all used to ship large parts and about how much did a pallet run to send? Any info would be much appreciated.

Your going to want to search for "ltl" (less than a truck load) trucking companies that run out of your area. They are the ones you see puling double and triple 48' trailers down the highway. They fill their trucks up with a variety of items that wont fill an entire 53' trailer.
Many of them have tools on their website that help you get a shippng estimate, old dominion frieght lines is one. One major consideration is will you need lift gate service and/or residential pickup/delivery? Both those options can really drive up the cost (sorry, bad pun, lol.
Best of luck to you, if this a purely personal item being shipped, it may be worth looking at the uhaul method or maybe a cargo van. I went through this with some antique furniture and it ended up cheaper renting a trailer.

A "LTL" trucking company will definitely be your best bet. Given that it's not hazmat or ridiculously over-sized the biggest price you'll incur is whether you will need liftgate service on either end of the trip and if it's going to a residential address. If you have anyway to drop it off at the terminal, access to a forklift, or place with a loading dock you will save a lot of money, same with the delivery end.
I went through a similar situation with a large roll-top antique desk, sentimental family thing, ugh..... but I digress. I had access to both a forklift and dock but it was going to a residential address with no way to get the pallet off the truck, the most the drivers will do is pallet jack it to the edge of the trailer. After lift-gate fees and residential delivery fees I found it was actually cheaper to toss the thing in a uhaul trailer and take it from N. VA. to Nashville.
To sum it up, if your going commercial location to commercial location LTL companies are your best bet. If not maybe look into a little roadtrip if that's feasible. You could also check loadboards, "Uship" used to be one, and see if a hot-shot hauler could haul it for you. These are the guys you see on the highway with long goosenecks being pulled by duallies and hauling all manner of stuff. Sometimes they'll need a backhaul to get home and will take what they can get. Googling "hotshot loadboards" should point you in the right direction.

When shipping pallets, it's usually a lot cheaper to have it delivered to a business address (even if the business is up the block from your house, lol). I am not sure why but that's how most trucking companies base their fees...I did exactly this when I had a transmission shipped to me via truck freight on a pallet. I had it delivered to a shop that is literally at the corner of my block about 500 ft away from my house, and the shipping price was practically half as much
