2006 V8 2WD 4Runnner. Only when parked on a steep incline (my driveway) I cannot shift out of park (my foot is on the brake)without using the shift override button and the VSC and trac lights are on every time. When I park on level surface I have no issues. Ideas?
When parking on incline try applying parking brake first, remove foot from brake, then allow vehicle to settle into position, then shift from drive to park.
this happens without the parking brake set. If park on an incline facing downward and level I am fine. If I park facing up steep incline I have VSC ABS and Trac Off lights illuminated and cant shift out of park unless I depress the shift lock override button
