places to tuck away a secondary battery inside the cabin

hey all, was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on where to tuck away a secondary battery inside the cabin. i don't think i'll be able to fit it under the hood (retrofitted headlights + ballasts all stuffed towards the front of the bay reduce the amount of space even more).

i was originally going to put it in the rear passenger side cargo area, but it's alot smaller than i remember lol

im having a drawer system built, and would ideally like to have it tucked away somewhere not visible, but after taking another look don't think its possible. maybe under the seats would be okay? looking for any suggestions or places where others have stored their auxiliary batteries.

Most anywhere you can tolerate it - don't forget when charging some batts emit gases. Then there is the deal about charging it - need a nice thick cable running from main batt to relay to 2nd batt.

If it were Mine I'd put it as close as possible to the first batt. Luck.

Lead/acid AGM, if it's charging its gassing less if sitting, not good it sketchy been past forum topic.
Lithium being used in Teardrop camper's Van camper arrangements build banks to fit rear cargo cubby
best route these days. No ill side effects.

You probably need to first decide on size and type of battery you need for your purposes. I have a small (12Ah!) LiFePo battery (along with a charger and a ham radio) under the driver's seat. You might be able to fit a lithium battery and a charger there... but a better place would be behind one of the side panels in the trunk.

If you are going more traditional (a lead-acid type), you need to be more open to a 'conventional' mounting... weight and size will be very limiting.

If your rear drawer system eliminates the back seats entirely, there would be space under the deck, where the rear seats used to be. Also, it is possible to create a 12V battery by wiring together 2 6V batteries. AGM batteries can be mounted sideways, btw.
