Just throwing this out there...
Since I've yet to come across exactly what I'm looking for I'm thinking I might have to fab one on my own with some help.
For reference here's what I'm looking for:
I don't need/want a full replacement bumper.
I want the bar to be mounted with as little drilling as possible and zero cutting.
I want it to look as clean as possible and work with the lines of the front end.
I want to bar to accommodate two 8-9" rounds...maybe three see bottom pic.
I stole a pic off google to use as an example, not sure if a forum member or not...hope you don't mind.
Bear with me as I try to explain this as much as possible as my MS Paint skills leave quite a bit to be desired:
I've got a spare valance that I'm working on getting to a local metal shop to have 2 plates made that fit in the outer recess' of the valance. Ideally the edges will be beveled and plate will be bent to fit inside the recess' so they are flush. They will be secured with bolts at the corners and there will be a full plate that runs across the inside for support. With lights I cant see this thing weighing more than 25lbs? Everything should be solid enough to eliminate bouncing/vibrating during normal to mild use...which is all it will see.
The main bumper will have to be removed for the installation, but there will be zero cutting and 8 holes to drill...4 per plate. Really only the top 2 should be visible as the bottom 2 will be facing downward. I'm also thinking carriage bolts for a cleaner look?
I haven't decided how Ill fab the supports from the plates up to the bar...
...tubing or plate?
The horizontal bar and the hoop will probably be 1" OD.
The bottom bar will have a slight bend at each end that brings it closer to the fog lights on a plane that is just underneath them. It will sit just above the top of the bumper and as close as possible allowing for the light tabs to be placed behind the bar.
The hoop will be 1" OD as well and extend slightly forward with the top portion being in line with the upper section of the grill. I have a TP, not a Pro, so it may come up as high as the center of the grill molding.
There will be a support arm on each side at points to be determined, see the first pic as an idea of what I'm referring to.
Entire bar will be PC'd black and I just might paint/wrap the valance black to help the plates blend in and minimize the look of it being an add on.
