pulling to the right on acceleration in 2wd

Hi all,

Just bought my son a '96 4wd. Engine looks good, no knocks, no funny noises, despite pretty high mileage. What I've noticed, though, is that when we accelerate even a little aggressively, it feels like the back end of the vehicle is sliding out to the right. Strangely, this doesn't happen in 4wd, only in 2wd. We're also noticing that the suspension feels different on that wheel when hitting bumps. I have yet to really dig into the vehicle to see what is happening...i thought I might start here to see if anyone has seen this before so I have an idea where to start.

get under it and check the bushings on the 5 links that attach from the frame to the axle. 2 up top, 2 longer lowers and 1 side to side on the back side. a broken link could cause it. get take a peek under it and see whats up. but its going to be in the rear end.

Bad bushing somewhere. Sounds like the rear control arms bushings. As a preventative measure, I would check all the suspension and steering bushings including the rear control arms, stabilizers links and sway bar bushings, front lower control arm bushings, and rack and pinion bushings.
