SOLVED - Will leave for posterity. I was a little too timid. I tightened the hub nuts in a cross pattern and they pulled the shaft snug. No biggie.
I pulled my rear axle apart to get the seals in my ARB replaced. Reassembling things, I can’t get my passenger side axle to go all the way back in. It sticks out about half an inch.
I have read a few of the threads on here. Seems the culprits in other instances have been deformed splines on the shaft or an axle bearing not fully seated. My splines look fine and I didn’t touch the shaft bearing.
I did replace the oil seal, but it looks to be seated fully.
Anything I am missing or should I just give it a few taps with a deadblow mallet or tighten up the hub bolts evenly to pull it in?
