Rear ended after 1week! 2019 Limited - Diminished Value?

I had the same happen to me 6 years ago with a 2012 4Runner.
Have it totaled out.
If you are hearing strange noises from the rear and the transmission, that means the rear axle was shoved forward and the driveshaft was shoved into your transmission.
Thats what happened to me. Rear axle shoved forward, drive shaft shoved into transmission, transmission F'ed up transfer case, front drive shaft shoved into front axle. Tried to drive it and the cop standing outside my vehicle said you ain't going anywhere in that, and called a wrecker.
All are f*#$ed.
As they look at the parts, the damage total will skyrocket.
I would also look at getting a lawyer to sue the person that rear-ended you.
But I would not invest a dollar into any repair of your truck. It will not be worth it.

If you are forced to repair the vehicle, you will need to get compensated for it being devalued, as that repair work will show up on any carfax report.
And last, if you are forced to repair it, get rid of it with two years. That's when the rust will start showing up for any repairs they made.

Yeah, see if it can be totaled... $47 K on a vehicle thats F'd essentially right out of the gate is BS.
