Rear tailgate leak maintenance again

Today I found water sitting in the bottom of the tailgate gasket again,
like last year. It drips into the gasket from the area where the orange line is in the photo.

It gets in through the plastic trim fasteners

So I added an o-ring

It also came in through a break I'm that black rubber stuff that seals the orange clear plastic to the tailgate.

Anyone know where I can buy this substance?

Also, look at how the water builds up between the black rubber film and the tailgate. Maybe I should apply the rubber right at the edge of the metal so there is nowhere for the water to sit.

Anyone else experience this?

Get some RTV sealant? Or maybe just like a silicone caulk?

Yes silicone caulk; I even have some from sealing the gasket on the tailgate computer module. Thanks.
