Recall notice

Today I received the recall notice to modify the gas pedal. What I couldn't believe was another page included with a recommendation for sudden acceleration: 1st step, try to dislodge the floor mat. Can you imagine? In a panic situation in an accelerating vehicle the LAST thing you want to be doing is reaching down with one hand trying to free a floor mat.

The first thing someone should do in this situation is put the vehicle in neutral.

Yeah, i brought my new-to-me 08 in for th differentials and t-case fluids to be changed and they did that "fix" for me. I didnt see any "trimming" to my pedal, but they said they inserted some spacer into the pedal assembly.

I call BS to all of this.

Received my recall letter from Toyota Canada last week as well.

Not sure if I'll allow them to touch my rig.
