Removable JBL Speaker - Smash and Grab

Oh boy what a dumb idea the removable speaker is.

There will be a lot of '25 4 Runners with taped up windows and holes in the dash where the speaker used to be.

Check Fa Bo market place to buy it back from the thief that 'elf's up your new truck and stole it from you.

Pawn shops will have stacks of them too especially in parts of the country where it's illegal to arrest drug addicted thieves and vandals.

Removable speaker is gimmicky af.

Looks dumb. Overly expensive to replace. Will probably break if you take it out too much.

I'd also be concerned about how hot the battery is going to get baking in the sun in the south in the summer months. Can't be good! Seems like an unnecessary fire risk. Or perhaps they have a note in their owners manual to remove it on a hot day.

Good point. Imagine summer in Phoenix when it gets 160 degrees in the vehicle just cooking that dash. But I bet the battery is in the bottom and probably not affected.

The idea of finding it in a pawn shop or marketplace down the line is a real possibility. Not to mention, replacing it could be a hassle and expensive. Would've been better to have a more secure, integrated system.

Soon as I saw it, I already wondered how much it would cost to order a dash without the speaker hole, used in the lower trim models and swap. I hate the gimmicky idea that much. Lol

The other thing I don't like, large stupid letters on passenger side. Not sure which models come with that but they look cheesy and fugly. Are the letters removable?
