Removing rear springs

No need for a spring compressor. You could use a bottle jack but it would be much easier with a floor jack.
You will need a ratchet with a 17mm and 12mm(I think) to remove the shocks and sway bar links. Jack stands are necessary as well.
Basically you will jack the truck up from the differential and support it with jack stands on the frame.
Remove the wheels.
Lower the jack, make sure the jack stands are in place on the frame.
Remove shocks and sway bar links.
Lower jack further until springs can be removed. Watch your brake lines. You don't want to stretch them too far. The old spring should be easy to pull out. You may need to push down on the axel when installing the new ones. Some people will use the stock bottle jack to push the axel down on the side you are working on to gain clearance for the new springs.
Be careful with your brake lines.

Thanks Buckles. Would you recommend extended sway bar links back there?
I really don't know if you would need them or not. I've got fj coils with daystar spacers on top and I'm using stock links.
