Last night i went to our local drag strip (Farmington Raceway) for the "run what you brung" night. This was the first time id had my truck out on the strip and i was very pleased. The best time i was able to clock so far was an 11.455 sec 1/8th mile. Among my victims were a chevy cavalier ( whish was bored, port polished, and had the heads shaved, along w/ many other riced out modifications) and also a honda prelude (i've got a vid if anyone has webspace i'll send it to them to post. So let this be an inspiration to all of you to go show those rice burners whos really the boss

I haven't taken a national poll or anything but I'm pretty sure you drive a "rice burner" too...

Um, ya i dont know if you have looked at the Subaru's STI Impreza, but that thing will wipe the floor with most.

4cyl, 300hp/300flbs all wheel drive, nice and peppy.

I'm selling my little rice burner now that I have my new 4 runner. I have a 95' AWD Talon with a few goodies. It is considered "slow" for a dsm having only ran a 13.4@105 at the end of last year. Waaay to expensive of a hobby anymore.

Good for you for getting out to the 1350 (well, 675 I guess). But pick your battles wisely bro, some of those little 4 bangers are in little cars, and the power:weight is pretty impressive.

To be honest, if a 4runner woulda pulled up beside me in my old little 3rd gen GSR and wanted to race I probally woulda pissed myself laughing (v6, v8, supercharger, whatever... it wouldn't have mattered). It'd be kinda like me pulling up beside you on an off-road trail in my GSR and trying to race you to the end... I mean they're both built for two totally different purposes. But the cavalier is no race car so good for you for putting the guy in his place!

Finally, Rice burner??? Dude you drive a toyota and are talking on a toyota forum, its not like that 3.4L is American built ;)

props for hitting the 1/4 tho!

make chat, not war

I think you guys are misunderstanding me here, i'm not trying to deny my Runners japaneese heritige lol, its just that around here we use rice burner to discribe tiny little engines which seem as if they could "run on rice". And yes i know some them are indeed pretty fast but i am just speaking on the majority here. :thumb:

BTW, anybody have a website who would like to post the vid, or anyone who wants me to e-mail it to them just pm me
