Sold for $1k 2020, 2024 - $1500 now $1799.

Now how the hell price jump that high? Domestic tariffs?

Most fabricated items are going down or on sale so how the hell a tire carrier goes up in price?

I don’t see USA made but rather imported.

What does everyone else think?

It's a bit of a niche product to begin with, so price point is very important.

Anyone who runs 33" or less tires while off roading would be better off using the stock spare storage location.

Anyone who runs 34"+ tires while off roading will likely bite the bullet and buy a full real steel bumper eventually.

The price is starting to infringe with the entry level pricing of a full steel bumper, so they'll soon price themselves out of the market.

I went with 6 monkeys. I only put my tire carrier on when I go out camping. other than that, I run 33's and it sits in the stock spare storage location. i got the option to mount a table so when i'm out camping it's used for that, my trash shoot holder and clearance.

I dunno but the 4runner I bought had one of these things and it had to be the the most solid hunk of metal I've ever held. Thing weighs a ton and is solid as can be, I can sort of understand the price point considering the cost of metal these days
