Roomba from IRobot

I just got one. I've been wanting one for years and finally bit the bullet. This thing is great. I have no idea how I lived without it. I'm going to set the timer on it and everyday it'll make a pass around the house.

This is super off topic, but if any of you guys have been thinking about it, it's time to do it.

Hahaha. My chart looks a little different. I yell at my wife while roomba works. "Honey! If this thing learns to cook, your outta here!". This is a picture of my wife taking a picture of it working.

I cannot justify getting one of those unless I'm single. I would hate to see my wife un-employed! I do half of our cooking because I love to grill steaks and bbq chicken. I fear that if I got one of them that my wife wouldn't know what to do around the house.

I've got two of them but girlfriend moved in and put them away. They are going back into service this weekend ! thanks for the reminder

We had one, but my wife couldn't figure out how to put her clothes in the hamper, so it would keep getting bunged up from panty munching, and it almost killed one of our cats! Seriously, we went away for a week, and came back to find a cat trapped in the bathroom with the roomba jammed against the door, I guess she followed it in there and got trapped, had to drink water from the toilet, she was really skinny! With 2 cats and a dog it did a great job of keeping the fur-tumbleweeds down, but then you had to pull it apart and get all that fur out of the rollers/brushes, and that was a PITA.

If I was single, it would be back in action, no question. For some reason my wife would rather sweep the floor than put her clothes in the hamper, so whatever. I had the one with the remote control, so you could clean up messes from the couch, and chase the cats around, it was great!

This might sound odd, but I find vacuuming strangely meditating. Would most likely be a different story if I had to do it all the time.

i find its easier not to name them. once you name it it just gets personal... and then theres that uncomfortable silence once your done. :wow2:

Roomba 960

When it's come to cleaning home I always prefer roomba vacuum cleaner. I bought roomba 960 for my home and recently bought Roomba i7 for my office.

my wife wants one. thing is we have 8 sets of stairs in the house... better to say we have 8 places there are at least two stairs, enough to stop a Roomba so I just don't see it really being terribly helpful as we'd have to carry it around all the time. I have countered with a weekly visit from a cleaning lady.
