RR Passenger Door WX Strip Removal

The time has come to deal with this rust spot . I know the wx stripping comes off where the main window goes down but , anyone know if the small ( draft ) window needs to come out to get at this metal ? It ( chip ) originated from a rock so its not coming from the inside and think I can save it . PIA though .
