Running Boards on a 4th Gen Limited

Hey guys. Can anyone tell me if the end caps on the running boards are replaceable? And if so, how do I remove them / replace them? I have one that was damaged on my recent trip by some shrapnel in the road. I didn't see a chunk of tire tread and it definitely left it's mark.




Gotta love those wonderful lazyass truckers that don't check their tires to make sure they aren't going to fall apart on the road for the rest of us to run over. Funny thing is it's the law that they HAVE to check their tires every day. Obviously not getting done. MFers.

BTW, before I get flamed, this is about the lazy piece of sh!t truckers who take unsafe shortcuts. Not the decent truckers who actually care about what they do.

Yeah they are.

IIRC they're held on by two (and maybe a third) philips screws and the wiring which houses the light. If you crawl underneath, you'll see one rather easily, while the other is a bit more protected.

I "accidentally" dropped in a piece of chewing gum which was meant to get out a LED bulb which I fell in there.

A/V1, I was trying to get part number for you but those caps are not sold separately from Toyota, only as a whole step assembly.

Thanks - I appreciate it. It figures they aren't sold separately. I guess I'll just have to keep my eye out at junk yards, or my friend the Classifieds section
