Found this awesome link for all the Service Manual PDFs from Toyota for 4th generation 4Runners. Figured it would be good for anyone looking for specific info.

Most forums discourage posting links to service literature, the issue pertaining to copyright.

There's a official site that 'rents' access to Toyota service manuals. Perhaps search will help you.

Our local library has access to Alldata which includes almost all of the FSM information. It isn't available through their on-line access - you have to go into the branch to use it. Mitchell1 is another source like Alldata which may be available.

FYI...I can print off what I need in the library (they charge per page) but it's a lot easier to take a thumb drive along and print pdf's to it. Then you can easily copy everything you might need and take it home to review.

Would you trust Auto Repair Source by MOTOR? That's what my library has and it looks pretty bare bones. Can anybody email me the FSM? Or send me a link?

One of the library systems hosts Chilton which has limited info - it's trustworthy but not detailed. Perhaps Auto Repair Source is like that. Our large Metropolitan library has the Alldata access.

I have the 03 that would help for most things. I know the later engines had some changes with vvt and ?, but I can send you a copy if you want.
