If you spend a little extra money now for 5100s then they will end up being better in the long run if you plan on doing any sort of lift.

Bilsteins 5100 recommended here. I just took off my XREAS this last Sunday and installed the Bilstien 5100 all around with FJ springs. Way better ride now. Just my .02cents.

They are OEM and will provide you with the same ride your vehicle originally came with. I purchased them to replace my original shocks/struts and was pleased with them. I did notice a bit stiffer ride which told me that my old shocks were worn out and not doing their job after 90K miles. I did put FJ springs up front and gained about 1/2" in height.

You managed to mount FJ coils on oem shocks? Didn't know that was possible without screwing something up. Depends what my budget dictates. The 5100s are nice and the lifetime warranty is more appealing

FJ coils fit perfectly on the OEM shocks. After I put everything all back together I took it in for an alignment and there were virtually no changes to be made. So, yes, it can be done. I assume most just put on the adjustable Bilsteins but I wanted the stock ride and was concerned the 5100's would be too stiff for my back!
