Cheap might be out of the question if you want a good shock with a lift. I'm assuming she does not off road so the truck stays on the road. I can't tell you the best shock on road without it being expensive. I have the Bilstein HD's and I love them great on road and off road, I like them because they're firm not much body sway, also if you ever need to tow those are the best shocks for towing. All and all basically about any shock would make a difference except the Monroe's stay away from them if you can. Maybe some KYB shocks for might be good.

If this helps Ajusa.com has the cheapest Bilstein I love their service as well only took 4 days to get to my house. Thay're in Cal while I live in Alabama, total will be about $135

AJUSA is a great source for Bilsteins. But if your wife just hits the pavement with it Monroes will be just fine. They're cheap and ride nice. A good alternative would be the Tokico's.

Idk I hear about Monroe's a lot and people say they do not last or they give quite a bounce, but I remember when I had them on mine they were really soft but bouncy.

I am running the Toyota LandCruiser rear shocks that came with my Sonoran Steel lift. You can get each shock for about $65 a piece.

Which Monroes?

When I ran the Sensa-trac it was really floaty, which some people might like, but man it was like I didn't have a shock back there at all, just the coil spring
