Should I buy this 4Runner with a new transmission??

So I've been looking for a 4runner lately and finally found something I think might be worthwhile...

1999 4runner limited, 130,xxx miles, 2wd, looks awesome with clean carfax.

Told the guy I want to come out to see it and he mentions in 2010 it had the transmission replaced. Brand new transmission installed by a dealership. Everything else about it is great but this just sends up a red flag for me. Looked for info or other forums about this but so far haven't been able to find anything... Are there really any possible problems with a brand new transmission? I mean if the guy has all the papers and it seems legit should I really be worried?? thanks for your help

If it's a new transmission from the dealership I wouldn't be worried about it at all. As long as the paperwork checks out, and it drives fine I'd go for it.

It's possible it was replaced due to a transmission cooler failure. If it was done by a dealership, no problems at all.

There might even be a record of a rad replacement too, if that in fact was the cause...
