Simple Drawer System

Heavy duty slides

Well I finally got around to building a drawer for my rig. I needed a place for my Spey gear when its not full of my side job tools. This is the first iteration since as its already been said, "not a straight piece of wood in the store". I do however have some of the stoutest slides they make. I have three more pairs in the shop if anyone wants to pay for the shipping (Heavy). They are for the UPS batteries in 19" equipment racks, they will handle 275# and they have 24" of travel. Here is the link to more info: Item # CTHRS-224 On General Devices Co., Inc.

Since this thread has been revived, Titanpat57 did you mount the drawer system to the sliding cargo tray? If so, how did you do that while retaining the ability to slide the tray out? I looked through your thread but it appears you have a new drawer system and no more cargo tray

I used small bolts and fender washers.....bolting the drawer system to the tray.

I drilled through the the bottom of the wood unit and in through the tray....used nylock nuts and big washers....strong as hell.

Sorry for the question on an old post— but I can’t seem to be able to PM you for the sketch up file. Can you send it to me? Thanks!
