Man I wish I'd signed-up for a lifetime XM account for dirt back when everyone thought it was a gimmick...

This sucks! SiriusXM is one of the worst companies to deal with. While pandora isn't perfect, I do use it a lot but I refuse to give anymore money to SiriusXM. I'm going to need to find another music service. I don't care for spotify, the same 10 songs repeat when I tried them, worse than FM radio.

That lifetime membership was tied to the device, not the user's account I think, so you'd be using a 15 year old receiver. Probably not what you had in mind.

I actually searched this after posting, they will let you transfer the membership unless it's attached to an OEM stereo (if it's a portable unit, you can switch to another device) at a charge of $75 each time, you're allowed to do this 3 times total, and if it's ever switched to an OEM device it's stuck there.

Your allowed 3 transfers, so you can upgrade your radio 3 times before you lose your "lifetime" membership.
I have 3 lifetime memberships, the wife is driving a 2016 SS, so she is on radio #2, I have a 2006 Silverado with a replacement/upgrade Kenwood Nav Radio #2 also, And my boat is on the original Clarion marine radio from 2005, So radio#1,
At this rate the original $500 ?? (I Think) Lifetime payment has more than been worth it.
And I have swapped from a factory radio to an aftermarket no problem.
