Sold my truck to buy a 4Runner, I'm looking at SR5...any suggestions and opinions will be much appreciated!

To start, which generation 4Runner are you looking for? If you want a V8, it has to be a 4th gen. Otherwise, you have to look at design, off road capability, and overall comfort between generations. Just trying to gauge what you are looking for in the vehicle.

I've put a deposit down on a Magnetic Grey, 2011 SR5 V6, pretty basic. My wife has a '08 Highlander and I prefer the old-school key. I also don't care much for the hastle of sensors when going surfing.

I looked at the Limited, but don't see where all that extra money goes to??

Just some perhaps irrelevant info, but on June 13th my dog was thrown from my dog trainer's truck on the freeway when they tried to avoid an accident...

My dogs are like my kids and so I figure the 4Runner is MUCH safer. Also, it looks like I can wind-down the back hatch window and then lock all doors so that no one can steal them while in their crates? Just wanna make sure that once locked, even if windows are down there is NO way to open the back hatch.
