Something is rolling around in the sunroof channel

So, 2 days in I have this what sounds like a screw or penny rolling around in the passenger side sunroof channel. Its not in the channel but seems like its in the inside the headliner next to the channel . When I accelerate or brake it sounds like a marble is rolling across the floor. Most of the time, not all. Open , closed, totally random.

Its very odd.

Thoughts, laughs or just a random puzzled look ?

Probably a skunk. Pull the headliner and find that little stowaway.

I had the same problem a few months back, opened up my headliner a bit and found a but rolling around. It was driving me nuts

I have had this same thing going on since I bought my truck two years ago, and a few months ago I think I figured out what it is.

When you replace the bulb in the rear dome light (in the hatch), it's very easy to push the new one through the fixture and into the headliner. I did it myself, but I took the rear trim off so I could get it out. As soon as I did it I realized that's probably what was sliding around up there and there was no way I wanted another one up there!

The good thing is, after some pretty good off-roading mine seems to be stuck somewhere and hasn't bothered me in quite a while.

I have had this same thing going on since I bought my truck two years ago, and a few months ago I think I figured out what it is.

That is, until I send my gremlin over to your place and have him dislodge it! Those gremlins are tricky.

If you pull the headliner, just be careful when removing the trim. I had one of the tabs completely break off but thankfully it still stays in place just fine. And I was being careful too!

This one is rolling aound to the right of the channel on the passenger sider front. Never seems to leave that area, Thinking it's a nut, but I think they changed some interior bulbs before I picked it up...mmmmm
Was looking around to find a way to pop the liner maybe by roof interior handle.

That's exactly where mine was. When I'd hit the brakes you could hear it sliding up the right side, above the passenger's right ear. I think this stuff must get into the channel that runs right beside the sunroof and just slides around. I have managed to bounce mine into an area it hasn't escaped from for a while, but it was dumb luck and it's done this before and came back.

I think I got it lodged and it stopped for a day, but hit a bump today and its back rolling around. Actually going to bring back to the dealer since I just got it and see what they have to say, Will report back on that..

Thats to funny.
Dropped it off today since I just bought from a Toyota dealer, but of course all the way there it was not doing it. Randomly stops, but rolls around more than not, See what they say. How did you get the shell casing out ?
