Spidertrax: Who has em, how long, any issues?

I'm starting to seriously consider adding Spidertrax to my truck. Who has em, how long have you had them, any issues?

This is not meant to be a polarizing thread on the benefits vs concerns of spacers. I'm simply looking for first-hand experience for those that have run them for extended periods of time.

2 years and over 30,000 miles no issues at all. The stance looks cool and that's good enough for me. Not sure if it helped in the handling department because I have made a bunch of changes since but I never think about them and everything is in great shape.

Had all-pro spacers for roughly 7 year and maybe 100K. Never had an issue, had them on and off a few times, changing axles and hubs. Would still have them if I didn't get wheels.

From what I have seen, anytime someone has some that have fallen off etc. It was installer error and usually never the person who owns the vehicle.

I have BORA 1" spacers and have had zero issues to date. I have had them on about 2 years and 25,000 miles give or take. Unless I get new wheels they will stay on as long as I have the runner.

1000 miles with mine, and riding smooth. Put them on good n tight with thread locker, and roll with a nice stance Bro!

Anyone experience any issues with their wheel bearings going out or starting to make a little extra noise?

I am in the same boat as the OP.

I have always been weary of adding spacers but have warmed up to the idea for the purpose of some minor fine tuning.

Have had them for years with a lot of varied driving and over 40k miles...nothing to worry about when you install them right...

Had them maybe 5k miles. No issues. They key is put the lock tite they give you on and use a real torque wrench to properly torque them.

I have had Spidertrax on my 4Runner for almost 3 years (roughly 25,000 miles) now with no issues. I had a generic brand aluminum spacer on a TJ for 6 years and never had an issue with those either. I did find on both sets after the initial install that they loosened up a bit after a couple hundred miles. I re torqued them and never had to mess with them again. I would honestly rather have aftermarket wheels but I end up spending my money on other stuff. I have used them on everything from street to hardcore trails without an issue.

Problem. No lift and 265/70/17's. Had to do some minor splash guard alterations, but as for performance I have not had any issues.

I've got eBay generics and they've been good for about 1000 miles so far. Got paranoid about torque specs and took them off after 500mi but none of them had budged. Got a new torque wrench and tightened them all back to 90ft/lbs, so far so good.

Almost 2 years with 30k+ miles on mine. I added them after my 2.5/1.5 and 265/70r17's and they are great (spidertrax). They kick out the tires just enough without rubbing on everything. Just follow the torque specs and add some loctite. I also keep a torque wrench with me just in case I need to swap the spare around. It is not a big thing but, being aluminum, it can't hurt.

I have no idea if there was any correlation with mine and my wheel bearing but I had to replace the driver's front not too long ago. But my truck just rolled over 195k so that is like wondering if the cartwheel broke granny's hip or it just went.

On for a year. Zero issue. The stance the truck should of had from the factory.

I just got a great deal and ordered a set of 4 spidertrax. Installing them next week. Did everyone put them on all 4 corners or just the front?

I went with 1.25 front and 1.5 rear. Common from spidertrax is 1.25 all around.

Ran BORA as well, 4-5 years about 40k, had a member use one as a helper (bent his spindle and the tire was jammed into the UAC) to get down the trail so a tow truck could get at his T4R. 10-15 miles, no issues.

Spidertrax, 2.5 years, 40,000 miles, and no issues. Used locite and installed properly with the tapered end of the nut going in towards wheel spacer and torqued to the right amount. Don't even think about them anymore.
