SR5 TRD Pro Grill Knockoff

This is a plea/request for someone who has the proper contacts or resources to make something a lot of us could use.

I have an SR5 and I would love it if the center portion of the grill, the horizontal bar portion, could be made black, like a Pro. But I don't want a Pro grill because I don't have a Pro.

It would be nice if someone would mold a black plastic cover for the horizontal bar in the middle of our grills that would accomodate the Toyota oval emblem that our SR5 (and Trail) trucks come with. Something we could stick on with tape just like the Pro piece.

There would be several benefits:

1) There are way more SR5/Trails out there than Pros, therefore a decent market.
2) No need to buy a Pro upper grill mesh and a center piece = $600
3) I happen to like the Toyota oval emblem and dislike the Pro "Toyota" script across the front
4) Just stick this piece on and be done!

Somebody needs to make this and sell them to us! I know I could wrap that center part or Plasti-dip it, I want a black plastic cover!

Hopefully what I am describing makes sense.

I guess the group buy is over, but if there was one, there is usually some overflow, chargebacks or a few people flat out just resell it.

or install and hit the center with a heat gun so that the stock upper grill still fits with it.

The group buy is over, but I believe the garnishes are still available from TSO at the same price. The GB was just a way to get initial molds made.

Although the piece I am having made isn't exactly what you are looking for. I cuts the costs down significantly. Especially id you don't go with the letters. Most people are paying about $380 for the center bar portion as you describe. And my piece is $180. and the upper grille is around $160. So thats $540 vs $340.

I wish I could help you make what you are looking for. But the costs to set everything up is way beyond what I think the market will hold. It is just so much cheaper to wrap it. And get almost an identical look for what you want. check out fellers.com for vinyl. Cheapest place to buy vinyl.
 
so you just want the bar in it's current shape to be black but leave the emblem as-is? what's wrong with just using vinyl for that?

Trd pro grill

Currently I’m looking for someone selling a pro grill or someone to lead me to a vendor selling them for super cheap, I have looked every where with no success.

What kind of non-Pro owner are you?! You buy a non-Pro specifically so you can add on the Pro parts and then make fun of Pro owners for "buying and not building". Have you not learned anything from this forum? Lol (sw)
 
Yardsale, I get what you are saying and what you want. If it were me I think I would just have that center bar professionally wrapped. Good luck and post photos.

Yardsale i agree with the wrap, i did my lower Valence and it looks great the place i used is SoCal Exotic Wrap in Irvine very responsible prices Luc is the owner tell i send you he will give you great deal
 
$10 can of plastidip and two IPA’s....
