A few months after buying my used 2000 4Runner, the tilt-up feature on the sunroof stopped working. You could still slide the roof back and forth but it would make a "pop" sound just before completely closing. Its been like this for several months.
Today, I went to open the sunroof and and hit the tilt up button and it worked. However, when it tries to come down, its does not come down far enough before attempting to slide back into place. Its basically hitting the exterior of the car and not going all the way down (level).
Whats the problem? I'd like to avoid going to the dealer and getting screwed.
