Surf fishers

Post pics of your beach/surffishing rigs. Going to be setting my 85/84 4runner up for hunting, camping, fishing, surf fishing, and beach roaming in NC. just want to see how everyone has theirs setup

I surf fish in Wrightsville Beach, NC but haven't done anything specific to my 4runner for it. I just through the poles in the back, grab my bait of choice and tackle box and head out.

Yea i have 3 boys and i figure its away to enjoy the beach and fish and they can have fun all at the same time. Never really done any surf fishing but have fished a lot and spent a lot of time outdoors figure its time to throw them out in it full swing. One reason why I'm moving back to NC show them how i grew up and my family and friends can all be apart of them learning the things i learned as a kid

I just carry my rods inside (rod rack inside). If we are changing locations I might slide them out the back window. I keep cold drinks and snacks in the Engel Fridge so everyone has what they want. I believe in comfort when fishing; we open up the canopy for shade, nice cold drinks.

Stay hydrated and comfortable. I discovered the quickest way to have the family not want to go is to make them miserable. Oh and always use a custom rod for the occasion. My wife has her collection of pink & purple wrapped rods for where ever we go (boat, surf, fly) it makes her feel like fishing is not just a guys sport.

YEa thats why I'm going to set up the truck for what we are going to use it for. I'm going to steal a bumper idea off hear and add some other stuff to it. Going to do a bit of lighting because ill probably do some night fishing too with it plus you can't go wrong with lighting lol. Plus with 5 people in a 85 just don't leave a lot of room for rods. But we are all excited and stoked. Im just ready to take my family to where i call home
