T4R.ORG is fading

Why should i be defending this site?? Hmmm...Here's a hint...i am the co-founder of this site. Did not think that i had to point that out!

I am confused...i thought that you said that this forum is boring...and that you were not interested in helping???? Are you changing your tune now??

[Like i said, if you think that this forum is boring (which you CLEARLY stated above), then i can easily help you out so that you will never have to bother with this boring forum ever again. Just say the word. I will NEVER keep anyone on this board if they have no desire to be on it. Your wish will be processed quickly. Just tell me what you want.

Obviously I've always tried to help out. Do a search on most of my posts... I think you'll find quite a few of them with good information that has never or rarely ever been mentioned on this board.

You conveniently ignored the fact that every time we've 'clashed' it has been you that has called me out because you don't like my opinions. You do always have the choice of just accepting them as opinions and moving on with your life.

You also conveniently ignored the fact that you have held a grudge against me ever since I told you that the 4Runner/GX platform was more impressive in some ways than the LC/LX platform.

You seem to be very good at that. Putting words in my mouth, taking things I said out of context, and holding grudges because of a difference in opinions.

I have no problem joining the other boards. I'm sure I will once I take delivery of my 4Runner. As I said before, I just prefer the focus on 4th gens that we have here, and that's why I've chosen to stay here so far.

If you, as the co-founder, are so miffed by me as to usher me toward one of the more popular boards, I have no problem with that either.:headslap:

Most boards seem to primarily thrive on off-topic discussion, advanced tech discussion, debates, and future vehicle discussion.

This board seems to have very little. Half the time I reply it seems like nobody really cares to respond back with anything useful.

If more people posted whatever came to their mind when reading something... as long as it were somewhat useful information, then the discussion around here would be more engaging.

And honestly I think that's what it lacks. Engauging discussion. Most topics around here seem to be mainly consisting on monologues and links or copy/past of 3rd party articles, which is more in line with a database than a message board.

Offering unsolicited advice on which topics warrant deletion in your opinion constitutes "whining about the forum in general" in my opinion and thus violates rule number 1. Please follow the rules, thanks

"said topic" does not equal "sad topic". What it means is that this entire thread is about why T4R.org is kinda slow lately.

I posted why I think it might be slow. And all hell broke loose from there. Kinda juvenile if you look back at the progression of it all.

I just amended my prior post after I realized what you "said". You're still whining IMO and I don't like whining, that's why it's rule number 1. Please check your PM

Ok I was gonna stay outta this one since it was worthless to begin with but I can't stay outta of it anymore. There's way too many unneccesary "bumping" so I'll have to give in by giving myself a "bump" and some constructive comments.

1. Lets not forget that this forum is still relatively new. Yes it's been around for awhile but keep in mind great forums takes years before it becomes something useful.

2. Searches are available for those who want to search and use it. personally speaking use the damn search as veterans do tend to get annoyed w/ topics covered yesterday. Yes it helps to add more content but c'mon now. If the topic is old then it's good to bring it back to some light as there might be revisions etc etc.

3. This forum is not fading. Members are still joining so we know it's not fading. It might be slow at times but that can be due to the lack of new topics. It could be slow due to lack of interest or quite possibly this forum has way too much information Who knows, who cares, just keep on contributing and it'll come back to life. Once you stop posting answers and asking questions, this forum will fail so keep on typin!

4. The information you can find here are plenty, abeit it might not reflect the "offroading" community as much but it does reflect alot of the "street" community. There is a demand for this and as long as there is, people will contribute. Just because you're an offroading fan doesn't mean you should flame this site being "poor" or "lacking". There are some members that feel that a quality board should be all "offroad tech" but there are plenty of other sites that cover these topics well. Let this forum grow the way it wants in the "street" community as there is a big demand for it anyway (I personally like it this way as it gives me the opportunity to see both sides). Bottom line, if ya gotta problem w/ this forum, leave quietly and don't make a big stink outta it damn drama queens.

5. Some of ya defninitely need to lighten up on the flaming/personal attacks. I know it happens but my gosh, grow up and be adults and let some of the attacks go. Going back and attacking and quoting eachother is soo childish. It takes away from the quality of the forum so just stop. This includes any reference to "please refer to thread... blah blah ablh" just do it in the PM so we don't need to see that crap.

Threxx, i have no problems with opinions, as long as they are well-founded. Since that thread long time ago, i have not had any issues with your opinions...and i don't hold grudges...you have apparently posted since that time without any interference from me.

You have clearly stated that you thought that this forum is boring. I will be more than happy to delete your account & IP address from this forum if you so desired. Why wait for your 4runner to come in?? Why does that matter?!! Join the other more "popular" boards now! I am sure that you can learn more over there since it's so much more exciting!
