Tacoma to TE

Great info on the site guys. I hope to be able to contribute once I've learned a bit more. I just got rid of my 09 Tacoma(pic attached), so I'm a bit familiar with Toyota's and trailing. I had a lot of fun building my truck, but when it was all said and done, I knew there wasn't enough room for all my stuff.
So, I picked up a 2011 Trail and couldn't be happier with my purchase. I don't think I'm going to do the "full" build that I did on the Tacoma, but I definitely need to get leveled and get some new shoes to start.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Did you have a Double Cab Taco?

I find the opposite, the 4Runner doesn't have enough room, made a Costco run last night and one shopping cart filled up the back of the 4Runner with little room left. I have a 2nd gen Taco DC short bed as well and it hauls things much easier than the 4Runner. But I do appreciate the extra refinement of the 4Runner.

Yeah I'd agree the 4R isn't huge on the inside, but I do like the additional Cabin space. I did have a DC, but always used the truck bed for extra stuff which isn't too secure either.

I agree with you. The 4Runner makes it easy to get things out of the cargo area when you have passenger(s) in the second row. With the Tacoma I would need to stop to get things from the bed. I have the SnugTop shell on mine, so things are a tad more secure.
