Looking to see if anyone else partakes and wanted get some recommendations.

Let me know what you like!

Cachaça
I used to live in Brazil when I worked for Ford motor company. I drank Cachaça straight or in caipirinha’s.

It’s Brazil’s national drink similar to Mexico’s Tequila. Mescal is another paint thinner from Mexico.

If you can find Cachaça I think you would like it better than Tequila.

(There is some weirdness going on with the forum software. These are wiki links that should be easily digestible)

Depends if you're shooting or sipping...

If taking shots at a party or bar, then low-end Patron Silver, 1800, or even Cuervo are fine. Ain't gonna much matter after the first one, with a pitcher or three of beer around the pool table.

If sipping and enjoying like you would a good Cognac, then I like something with more flavor, like Patron Reposado, Anejo, or Extra Anejo that's been aged in oak for at least a short period of time. The longer the better. Increasingly pricey, but increasingly smoother and deeper flavor.

To that end, as with other fine distilled beverages, the sky's the limit if you truly enjoy it and have money to burn. Here's an example of a high-end Extra Anejo tequila:

But, alas, tequila and I have had to part company.
While I enjoy it, we don't always see eye to eye.

These are a few i have been sampling, none have been over $60.00 and in my opinion are pretty damn good. I am a sipper in a short glass with one big ice cube. The Casamigos is the one George Clooney just sold, i like it a lot.

It's like any other fine distilled spirits. what you like, is what you like and don't expect others to agree. The best i have ever had was out of a (I'm sure) bath tub in Nicaragua. Absolutely the best. Smooth, flavorful, that silky after taste was wonderful. After that, I think the best I had was some of Roger cline's. But that was probably as much the experience, as the Te-kill-ya.

I don't drink tequila...i got standards and a reputation to uphold, while in public...

but when im in mexico.......

When I did drink... Herradura Tequila
(Seleccion Suprema Extra Anejo)

Always liked this bottle though, and it wasn't bad at all.

Came to the same realization a few years back. I only like whites, but these two are my normal go-to's:
