- I've developed a terrible squeak going over bumps. Trying to track it down... I feel like it's either front UCA poly bushings making noise or maybe the rear coil might be making slight contact with my [MENTION=28464]eimkeith[/MENTION] rear UCA reinforcements as last time it was on the lift, I noticed the two components JUST touching each other (Keith, you seen/heard of this happening before?). Plus the sound is more metallic sounding (i think) than a typical bushing squeak.

Yep - some coils rub the flange - some just a bit, some a LOT. Just trim away the flange where needed and you're good to go.

Definitely not the source of my squeak but I am rubbing there a tab. I'll trim it up next time I'm under there!

Bump for a sold truck … I bet no one ever would predict that I would sell it one day (lol). It actually sold in October 22’ so it’s been gone for a bit. I miss the truck a lot but did pull the 3-piece wheels and a couple other parts off it went to it’s new owner.

What’s next you ask? Well, I bought another 3rd gen in the summer of 22’. It’s arguably the cleanest one I’ve ever owned (body and frame) but its not a low miler and needs lots of maintenance love. It will be a project plaform for Tamarack+ as we develop more parts for the 3rd gen. I’ll start a build thread soon but the plan is to swap in a 1UZ vvti or 3UZ with the 5-speed a650e automatic.

It's great that I stumbled on the fact you're back in the 3rd gen fold! That's awesome! The last time I touched base with you, I'd just discovered that one of the guys that works in the same compound as I, owned the Dirtduster 1.0!

That was almost 3 yrs ago... I only ran into this guy periodically, and in 2019, I heard that he had sold it, and bought a Taco and proceeded to build it. Sorry to say, I'm not sure if it stayed local here in Kelowna, or whether it left town. I haven't seen it since...

As for me, I still have my 4R.

I've also taken an interest in Celicas. I bought 2003 to commute from Vernon to Kelowna daily, and I must admit, it's turned into a fun daily driver. This leaves my 4Runner for the weekend outings! Along with this, my son just bought a 1994 Celica--- I'll admit, I've taken a shine to this car...

I'll be very interested in watching your new build goes!! Again, welcome back-- subscribed!!

Well, it has been sometime!
I just rebuilt the front end and installed new shocks all around! Its tight again and rides nice. I can't believe the Rancho's 9000xl only lasted 6 years. the OME springs are still great. I'm nearing 450K now, and still love it.
As for Celicas, I still have the 2002 (not 2003, a great daily still) and my son moved on to a Subaru and GAVE me the 1994 Celica!! Its my project car now--- the engine (5SFE) is out and I hope to rebuild it and get it back in the car by late Spring. I'm considering swapping the 5S with a 1MZFE (V6), as an upgrade maybe next year... we'll see!
