TBH, yes we have a shit ton of 3rd gens but if you look closely enough, we have just as many highlanders, tacomas, 4th and 5th gens, ETC.

This is a Toyota loving state, for sure.

I’m in Denver. The great news is, 3rd Gen prices are thru the roof here. We have plenty 4th and 5th as well as FJs. Lots of mountains, trails, off road shops and etc. can’t live in Colorado without having a lifted SUV...

Was in Denver for a week in October, lower highlands area just south end of downtown. I saw average 3 3rd gen 4runners per block either parked or driving us add another 2-3 4 or 5th gens. Was amazed at how many 4runners I saw, reminded me of late 90s early 2000s when there where Audi’s all over Colorado

I remember road tripping to california, and holy batman there were a lot of 3rd gen there too, also 4th and 5th gens. 4runners everywhere.

I went to Moab last spring, we flew into Denver and drove there. We picked up a '01 Taco from a guy in Denver off Turo, he was telling us he was a Toyota guy and had two other vehicles he rented out, both 3rd gen 4Runners.

Driving that Taco was why I'm looking for a 3rd gen now, I really liked driving it, but I 'd rather have a SUV.

I didn’t really notice just how many there are out here until I got mine a couple weeks ago. All of sudden, gen 3s are coming out of the woodwork!

A family friend works for an auto parts wholesaler. The least amount of volume they move is Toyota parts. In a mountain environment where reliability can literally mean life or death? No wonder why Toyota is so popular.
I'll give you one guess as to which brand parts his company moves the most of........

Same 2WD issue in Texas. When I bought my 01 I had to wait for several weeks to get Thundercloud and 4WD - maybe because I bought it right after 01's came out but there are still a hige ratio of 2WD sold in non snow territory

I was about to say I never see built 3rd gens in New England. I'm in Boston and most 3rd gens I see around here are obviously winter beaters that are falling apart.
