thoughts on buying an old runner

There is an 85 (solid front axle) here for 2k, could probaly get it for a bit less.

Got a few floating around here (NW Montana).

I am always hesitant of buying a car I can't look at first tho.

no, no. i certainly wouldn't buy it without looking at it-not in the least. i'm going to go down and take a look at it, drive it, look it over thouroughly for rust, take it to my mechanic etc. - theyr'e very close by
 
I love the 1st gen. Runners. I have a stock '89 right now. But, I don't have the time or money to do what I want to it. So, I'm trading it to this guy, plus some cash, for this one:
