If you take your car to the dealer or even a shop for an oil change it could be three hours and $120. I've been changing my oil since I owned my 2005 4runner (new). I don't like waiting around. "Bring it in they say"
5 quarts of NAPA in NAPA's 5-gallon container. NAPA thinks of everything. Right in my driveway. Most cars and trucks will take 5 or more quarts today. Why sell a 4-quart jug?
Takes me 1/2 hour in the driveway with a filter. Even Toyota brand filters are cheaper than Wix or others.
Just don't overtighten the drain plug and use a new washer. Even with the old washer they seldom drip.
My 4runner OM states 5.2 quarts of oil with filter.:guitar3:
2005 4runner / 150,000 miles. Zero highway miles (over 60-70 mph!).
Any granny can do it. No really! There is only 1 short 5 mile strip of highway in Nassau Bahamas.
Annual temperature range 60 degrees to 95. Easy on your coolants and other fluids. Never freezes in Nassau. Once in 100 years - maybe.
