Top of the World Trail MOAB Stock TRD Pro?

I can say that for Fins and Things having a hitch insert is all a stock rig needs. Zero bumper contact on either loop. But did drag the hitch insert big time on the steepest spot on the southern loop. I was completely stock except for skids and tires, never touched the skids.

Top of the World would be very different.

Sorry for bringing this thread back to life, but I was planning on doing Top of the World this summer and I'm lifted on 285s. You think my bumpers will survive? I'm thinking my stock rear will kiss some rocks, I'm just hoping it stays on. The right side from the top doesn't entirely seem worth it on the way down.

I did ToW about 2 years ago?? Not sure time flies!!! Did it with a mild lift, 285's and was fine. You might tag some of the edges of your front and rear bumper as well as drag the hitch when you go back down. I actually hit my front skid right into a boulder that I didn't see since I went alone and didn't have a spotter, no big deal though to the RCI. All in all there were about 3-4 obstacles that required some thought, again more so since I was spotting myself. You should be fine and for the most part your bumpers should be okay. I don't think you'll rip off your bumpers unless you take a really bad line. And unless you baby the thing, which it doesn't sound like you are, bumper scuffs and dragging the hitch is just something you'll have to accept. Up until you don't anymore and get full front and rear bumper replacements

And yes as others have said when you make it to the top don't go back down drivers right side, go back down the way you went up. That right side is much much worse!!! Also pick up charles wells book to find other trails there. I hit up onion creek, thompson canyon after completing ToW. Although I really wish I had done elephant hill and long canyon but there's just so much to do out there.

Like everyone said, avoid the right side going down hill. I learned the hard way.

Nearly smashed my rear passenger window on Elephant Hill. The tight corridor line is not as intuitive as you'd think haha

I did it a few months ago and def hit my skids. Also hit them on Dome Plateau taking the harder lines.
