Toyota oil filter 90915-20004

I'm going to start doing my own oil changes, and from my research these filters are suppose to be top notch! I found them cheap at Toyota Parts Zone, anyone using these filters on your V8 or V6?

I planned on using the Pennzoil Platinum 5W-30 with these 90915-20004 filters, and OCI of 8,000 miles... hopefully that's a good balance.

If the vehicle is under warranty do NOT exceed the recommended oil change interval...if you have any engine damage you run the risk of Toyota NOT covering the warranty.

Stick with the 5k oil change interval. There isn't a manufacturer in the world that says you can lengthen the oil change interval by switching to synthetic.

I run the 20004's with Pennzoil Platinum on a 5k OCI. Used oil analysis is very good, could run longer but as stated above, no dice with the warranty and 5k is a very easy to remember interval that also fits other maintenance items.

This is a bit odd....

this supplier sales them for $16 ea.

but this one I found sales them MUCH cheaper... makes me wonder if these are legit... or if the above supplier is just marketing towards the Lexus owners

After looking at the cheaper supplier a bit closer, it states Replaced by: 90915-YZZD3, so I guess they send you the D3 instead. I'm sure the D3 is just fine.
